Cervical Screening

Cervical screening is recommended every five years for women aged 25 to 74 who have ever been sexually active, in line with current Australian guidelines. Our GPs can perform cervical screening at our Lismore clinic and discuss your results with you.

Contraception

Our GPs can discuss the contraceptive options available and provide clear, factual information to support you in making an informed decision. Options that may be discussed include:

  • Oral contraceptives
  • Long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) including IUDs and implants
  • Other hormonal and non-hormonal methods

The most appropriate option will depend on your individual health history and circumstances, which your GP will discuss with you at your appointment.

Antenatal and Postnatal Care

Our GPs provide antenatal care and monitoring during pregnancy, as well as postnatal support following the birth of your baby. Referrals to obstetricians, midwives, and other relevant specialists can be arranged as needed.

If you are planning a pregnancy or have recently found out you are pregnant, we encourage you to book an appointment early.

Perimenopause and Menopause

Our GPs can discuss the symptoms you may be experiencing during perimenopause or menopause, provide appropriate assessment, and talk through management options that may be suitable for your individual circumstances.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

Our GPs can support patients experiencing mental health concerns at any stage of life, including postnatal depression and anxiety. If you are struggling emotionally, speak with your GP. Support is available and your GP can help connect you with the right care.
