Paediatric Health and Development
Children grow and change quickly, and regular GP care plays an important role in making sure they’re healthy and thriving at every stage. Our GPs are experienced in caring for children of all ages and can assist with a wide range of health and developmental needs.

If you’ve noticed something that doesn’t feel quite right with your child’s development, speech, behaviour, or learning, a conversation with your GP is the right place to start. We’ll listen, guide you through the next steps, and make sure your child and family feel supported throughout the process.
Childhood Immunisations
Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to protect your child’s health and the health of those around them. At Lismore Doctors, we provide childhood immunisations in line with the Australian National Immunisation Program (NIP) schedule.
We can also help if you’re unsure which vaccines your child is due for, or if your family is new to the area and needs to review an existing immunisation history.
Please note that immunisation services may incur a private fee. Our reception team will advise you of any applicable costs before your appointment.
Mental Health for Children and Young People
Children and teenagers can experience mental health challenges too, and it’s important they receive the right support. Our GPs take a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to mental health for children and young people of all ages.
We can assist with:

Routine Health Check-Ups for the Whole Family
Regular health check-ups are one of the simplest and most effective ways to stay on top of your family’s health. Routine visits allow your GP to track your child’s growth and development, identify any concerns early, and provide guidance on keeping your whole family healthy.
We welcome patients of all ages and are happy to see multiple family members during the same visit where time allows. Just let our reception team know when you book so we can arrange things accordingly.
Bulk Billing for Children and Families
At Lismore Doctors, all patients with a valid Medicare card are bulk billed for eligible consultations, meaning most visits come at no out-of-pocket cost to your family. If you have any questions about fees or eligibility, our reception team is happy to help.
