Medical Certificates

If you have been unwell and require a medical certificate for your employer or educational institution, your GP can provide one where clinically appropriate following a consultation.

Pre-Employment Medical Assessments

Many employers require a pre-employment medical assessment before a new employee starts work. Our GPs can conduct these assessments and provide the relevant documentation required by your employer.

Please contact our reception team before booking to confirm the specific requirements of your assessment so we can allocate the right amount of time for your appointment.

Driver Medical Assessments

Driver medical assessments may be required for certain licence categories or where a medical condition may affect your ability to drive safely. Our GPs can conduct driver medical assessments and provide the relevant documentation.

Please bring any relevant forms or requirements from the licensing authority to your appointment.

Medical Reports

Our GPs can provide medical reports for a range of purposes, including specialist referrals, insurance claims, legal proceedings, and other documentation requirements. Please contact our reception team to discuss your specific requirements before booking.

WorkCover

If you have been injured at work and require medical documentation for a WorkCover claim, our GPs can assist. Please note:

  • Upfront payment is required on the day of your appointment
  • You will receive a tax invoice and receipt for your records
  • The clinic does not bill WorkCover directly
  • WorkCover patients must notify their employer and bring their employer’s contact details to the appointment

A Note on Timeframes

Medical reports and assessments can take time to complete depending on the complexity of the documentation required. If you have a specific deadline, please advise our reception team when booking so we can do our best to accommodate your timeframe.

Fees for Medicals and Certificates

Medical assessments, reports, and certificates fall outside Medicare’s bulk billing guidelines and will incur a private fee regardless of Medicare eligibility. Fees vary depending on the type of assessment or documentation required.

Our reception team will advise you of applicable fees before your appointment so there are no surprises on the day. Payment is required at the time of your appointment by cash, credit card, or EFTPOS.
