What to Expect at a Skin Check
During a skin check your GP will examine your skin and assess any areas of concern. Depending on what is found, your GP may:

- Arrange further investigation such as a biopsy
- Perform a minor procedure to remove or treat a lesion
- Refer you to a dermatologist or specialist for further assessment
Your GP will always discuss their findings with you and explain any recommended next steps clearly.

Who Should Have a Skin Check?

Fees for Skin Checks and Procedures
Skin check consultations are bulk billed for all patients with a valid Medicare card. Some skin treatments and minor procedures may incur a private fee regardless of Medicare eligibility. Our reception team will always advise you of any applicable costs before your appointment.
